Bemberg™ & Microza™ Joint Seminar for textile professionals in India was held on 30th October 2023.
Bemberg™ is the brand name of cupro fiber made by Asahi Kasei. The sustainable regenerated cellulose fiber made from cotton linter has been used for traditional wear such as sarees and dupattas since 1970s in India. Mr. Saurabh Pise, Asahi Kasei India thanked textile professionals in India, and shared updated branding strategy of Bemberg™.
Microza™ is the brand name of ultrafiltration and microfiltration hollow-fiber membrane made by Asahi Kasei. The PVDF membrane is used for water treatment and wide variety of industrial processes. Mr. Ahmad Asif, a representative from Asahi Kasei India, underscored the importance of effluent wastewater recycling. He elaborated on how Microza™ offers a sustainable solution by replacing the consumption of fresh water with recycled effluent water in processes such as those found in dye houses and water jet operations within the textile industry. The Indian textile industry can reap significant benefits from Microza™ membranes' proven two-decade history of successfully recycling wastewater in textile processes.
